Eighth Annual Progressive Dinner

May 15, 2010 marked the date of the Eighth Annual Progressive Dinner.  With 88 attendees and 17 hosts and hostesses the night was a huge success!  As in previous years, all proceeds from this event benefit the residents of Villa Angela at St. Anne Home and the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund.

The Progressive Dinner included a four course meal, which was served in the homes of friends and family members of St. Anne Home.  The guests were assigned where they would partake in the different courses and when one course was over, they were asked to “progress” to the next assigned home.

Our hosts and hostesses outdid themselves tremendously with their delicious meals that included some of their special recipes.  Each host is given full reign over what they wish to prepare and serve their guests.

Dr. and Mrs. Denny Blasiole, Mr. and Mrs. Carmen Pedicone, Michael Philopena & George Shaner and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nies hosted cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  The Sisters of St. Emma’s, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Whigham, Ms. Donna Merrits, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Novak, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Joanne Skatell, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chiado hosted soup and salad.  Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Vallozzi, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kremer, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas DeGregory, Ms. Connie Deemer and Ms. Lauren Deemer, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Tymoczko, The Daughters of Mary Sisters and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kovach hosted entrees.

Co-chairperson Bernie Biss and her husband Joe, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Foley, Ms. Suzanne Mahady and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Aungier hosted desserts for all the guests and hosts at the The Bishop Connare Center.  Even though our guests were filled after all the deliciously prepared foods, they still saved room for a wide variety of wonderful cakes and cookies.
